REE Minerals AS is now Saga Rare Earths AS

REE Minerals AS has officially changed its name to Saga Rare Earths AS, a milestone in establishing a stronger brand identity. The company is dedicated to developing the Fen field, which contains Europe’s largest deposit of light rare earth elements.

“Our new name clearly communicates our focus on rare earths, but it also connects with our Nordic heritage and values. The word ‘Saga’ symbolizes endurance, purpose, and a long-term vision – qualities that define our approach to mineral development,” says Johannes Nævdal, Chairman of the board of Saga Rare Earths.

“Our previous company name did not always distinguish us clearly from other companies in the same industry or even from generic references to rare earth elements or minerals. Saga Rare Earths provides stronger brand recognition,” he adds.

Committed to responsible development

Saga Rare Earths is engaged in developing the Fen field in Norway, which contains Europe’s largest deposit of light rare earth elements.

The regulatory process for the area is currently ongoing, and the company is working closely with local authorities and other relevant stakeholders to conclude this process in a professional and responsible manner to arrive at the best possible foundation for the development of the Fen field.

“We remain confident that we can develop this resource in a responsible manner. The project holds significant promise for local and regional businesses, driving value creation and generating employment opportunities. Beyond its economic benefits, it carries strategic geopolitical importance by helping secure supplies of rare earth elements in Western countries,” says Mr. Nævdal.

Preparing for the next phase

“While the regulatory process progresses, we are preparing Saga Rare Earths to move forward at the appropriate time, including building a financial foundation for further exploration and eventual industrial development,” he adds.

The name change is effective immediately. In the near future, all company material, including the company website, will be transitioned to the new brand.
